It might be fun to brag to your buddies on how bad it kicks - but not for me. I shot my first S-12 with factory buttstock, and it bruised me up bad. Once you go with what was made for the AK, you will never go back. The factory wire stocks just push with your thumb, and it swings out and locks, or swings in and locks. Plus, it's a MAJOR pain in the ass to lift the whole stock up to fold or unfold.

I have 2 s-12's with 1, a romanian folder, and 2, a bulgarian folder, and also, a 3rd with a DPH stock with a hinge and a limbsaver - and just holding it is uncomfortable because it's too damn long. DON"T CUT YOUR TANG! GET a wire folding stock. OF course they will not work with a drum! WTF dude? No folder works with a drum. Either way, factory stock, designed for the gun is WAY better than ANY after market conglomeration - I daresay - even the Bone shit thing. One is a direct bot in replacement, the other one requires a little dremel action.

They may require a bit of modification to fit, depending on which one you get. They are STURDY, and they will work, flat out, because they are simple. They stow compactly on the side of your weapon - because they were designed to do so. They have a rugged push detent that is easily operated by your thumb. The folders that are designed to be used with these types of weapons have the correct shoulder reach, They have the correct fit and finish, and they don't have some stupid hinge folding bullshit that doesn't work when you need it to most.

Get a "grenade launcher" rubber pad to attatch. Buy only a Romanian or Bulgarian WIRE stock folder for an AK. ABSOLUTELY do not WASTE your time on aftermarket or commercial folders.
